Paint the Block: Public invited to Co-create Mural with Artist Christin Apodaca!
The El Paso Museum of Art invites visitors to participate in the creation of a new mural by artist Christin Apodaca during Chalk the Block on the exterior walls of the El Paso Museum of Art! Participants will have the opportunity to work alongside Christin, gain hands-on experience in the creative process, and contribute to one of the region’s most exciting annual art events. This is a unique chance to be part of a large-scale artwork that will inspire and engage thousands of visitors.
Location The El Paso Museum of Art; Meet at Loading Dock on Main St.
Dates Saturday, October 11 and Sunday, October 12 Low Sensory Activation (Saturday & Sunday) Charm Painting, 10am to 12pm
Facilitated by the artist and staff, paint charms in a friendly and accessible setting. The artist will later attach the charms permanently to the mural. This activity will take place during the festival’s quiet hours; while we will work to create a low-sensory environment, please be aware that it will be located outdoors. Open to all ages and abilities. Register for one of two 1-hr sessions. Limit 15 participants for each hour.

Who can register: Open to all ages. Children must be accompanied with a parent or guardian. Spaces are limited. Register now to be part of Christin’s mural team. Walk-ins welcome only if space allows.
