Volunteer with EPMA

We invite you to create memorable experiences and support the arts by becoming a volunteer with the El Paso Museum of Art—an official volunteer opportunity through the City of El Paso. Volunteers are an essential part of the City’s commitment to delivering exceptional cultural programs, events, and services that enhance the quality of life in our community. Whether you’re passionate about community or enjoy being part of a creative and collaborative team, EPMA offers a variety of meaningful volunteer roles:

  • Event Assistant: Assist during large-scale community events such as Family Days, Chalk the Block, Día de los Muertos, WinterFest, and more.
  • Art School Assistant: Support teaching artists during art camps, workshops, and studio tours. Please note: A background check is required for this role.
  • Docents: Lead guided tours for student and adult groups. EPMA provides training in art history and tour techniques. Please note: A background check is required for this role.

Volunteering at EPMA is coordinated through the City of El Paso Volunteer Program. Volunteers may serve in a variety of capacities—whether at a one-day event or as part of a seasonal or long-term commitment. While volunteers are not City employees and do not receive financial compensation, their time, skills, and dedication make a valuable contribution to both the museum and the City’s mission of service.

Please note: All volunteers must be at least 18 years old.

To get started, please complete the City of El Paso’s volunteer inquiry form.
