We invite you to create memorable experiences and support the arts by becoming a volunteer with the El Paso Museum of Art—an official volunteer opportunity through the City of El Paso. Volunteers are an essential part of the City’s commitment to delivering exceptional cultural programs, events, and services that enhance the quality of life in our community. Whether you’re passionate about community or enjoy being part of a creative and collaborative team, EPMA offers a variety of meaningful volunteer roles:
Volunteering at EPMA is coordinated through the City of El Paso Volunteer Program. Volunteers may serve in a variety of capacities—whether at a one-day event or as part of a seasonal or long-term commitment. While volunteers are not City employees and do not receive financial compensation, their time, skills, and dedication make a valuable contribution to both the museum and the City’s mission of service.
Please note: All volunteers must be at least 18 years old.
To get started, please complete the City of El Paso’s volunteer inquiry form.
Gain valuable experience and explore a career in the arts through an internship at the El Paso Museum of Art, offered in partnership with the City of El Paso Internship Program. As part of a broader citywide initiative, EPMA internships provide hands-on experience in a professional museum setting and help build valuable skills in communication, collaboration, and problem-solving.
Internships are available in the following departments: Curatorial, Education, Development, and Records/Registration. Opportunities are open to individuals currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate programs related to the department of interest. Undergraduate interns must be actively pursuing a degree and not currently on academic leave. Graduate interns must have completed a bachelor’s degree and be enrolled in a graduate program relevant to the placement area.
To apply, please complete the City of El Paso internship inquiry form and include details about your academic background, career goals, and interest in working with EPMA.
Please note: All internships are currently unpaid. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and are subject to a background check.
