Explore at your own pace or on a guided tour. Tours are available in English and Spanish. Tours for students can be structured to include sketching or writing time in the galleries.
Please note for the comfort of all guests we do not allow tours with amplifiers in our galleries.
Self-Guided tours give you the freedom to visit at your own pace. For educators, focus on specific works and spark a discussion with your students.

Family Guides
Explore and investigate EPMA’s collection with a Family Activity Guide. Discover new artwork and complete your own EPMA’s-inspired creation with the guide. Have an interactive experience Canaletto’s View of Molo in a new way through augmented reality (AR).

Sketching in the Galleries
Challenge yourself or your students to see what you observed. Bring your own pencil and sketchpad, EPMA provides the gallery materials.
Discover the story behind the art. Tour Guides share the history, techniques and ideas behind the art. Guided tours are free and available year-round for groups of 10-50. A two week advance reservation is required.

Channel your creativity with a Tour + Studio Visit. Following a guided tour of the galleries, make your own masterpiece in the Art School’s studio classrooms. Designed for school groups of 15-25 students from grades K -12. Tour + Studio reservation should be made four weeks in advance. Tour + Studio experiences are provided at no cost to schools.

Museum tours usually range from 45 to 60 minutes.

Yes. As you enter the museum, a visitor service representative will welcome you and help get your tour started.

Yes! Video and still photography for personal use (e.g. Selfies) are encouraged. Professional Photography, such as photoshoots and media coverage, requires special permission. Note that for some exhibitions, there may be a “no photography” sign posted in galleries, please respect this request. Please see our Photography Policy for more information. EPMA staff is available to answer questions.
Yes, we suggest eating lunch at San Jacinto Plaza, located at the corner of Mills and Oregon and within walking distance of the museum. San Jacinto Plaza features nationally celebrated El Paso artist Luis Jimenez’s monumental sculpture, Los Lagartos. Arts Festival Plaza, located next to the museum, is also available.
EPMA staff will work with you to coordinate a tour with the El Paso Museum of History, El Paso Library, and El Paso Holocaust Museum. You may also visit San Jacinto Plaza to view Luis Jimenez’s monumental sculpture, Los Lagartos. Everything is within walking distance to the museum.
