Begin with basic hand building techniques, with the goal of achieving a cone, a cylinder and a cube. You will then be introduced to carving and texture on clay, and lecture on concepts of clay dry timing. By the end of this term, you will have completed a series of sculptures— from a basic form, to an elaborate and conceptual piece.
