Phase I HVAC renovation is complete; select galleries on the 2nd floor are open. Stay tuned for the Phase II reopening of American, European (Kress), and Latin American collection galleries
Instructor Efren Villalobos will introduce students to the basic foundations of ceramics. Participants will learn how to hand build with low fire clay and learn how to throw on the pottery wheel. All materials and supplies will be provided. Due to the process of firing, all ceramic work made in class, will need to be picked up at a later date.
• No Offsite drop off or pick up: For safety reasons students must be dropped off and picked up inside the museum. • Sign-In and Sign-Out: A parent or guardian must sign in and sign out their child each day. Monday and Tuesday will be at the front desk at the main entrance. Wednesday through Friday will be at the studio classes. • Break time: Students will have a small break during class. Please pack a small lunch or small snack for your children. • Parent waiting area: While parents are not required to stay, a designated waiting area will be available inside the museum for the entire week of camp. You are permitted to bring food and drink but can only consume in the designated areas. In addition, we have free Wi-Fi for you to work remotely. • Museum business hours: The museum is closed to the public on Monday and Tuesday. Camp students and parents will be the only individuals permitted in the museum on those days. A low sensory/nursing room is available upon request.
