Drawing on images of a non-existent border wall between Chihuahua and Texas. La Bi-vencia immerses itself in the annual gathering of people who used to live in Santa Elena, a town next to the Rio Grande and Big Bend National Park, a place that has always been a bicultural meeting point where people used to be able to move freely between Mexico and the United States, until the terrorist attack of September 11, 2001 caused the closure of this border and influenced the residents of Santa Elena to leave the place, becoming a ghost town.
