In partnership with Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, the El Paso Museum of Art invites audiences to a screening of the new film OPPENHEIMER written and directed by Christopher Nolan. This event is an accompanying program for the exhibition, Exposure: Native Art and Political Ecology, which showcases the work of indigenous artists who explore the long-term effects of nuclear weapons and power around the world.
The exhibition and film present two opposing viewpoints on the development of nuclear weapons. Claudia Preza, Assistant Curator, will give a brief introduction to the film, providing context and background on the consequences of radiation exposure on a personal and humanitarian level.
